Dancing or Fighting

Digital is said of a device that creates, transports or stores information by means of bits (digits). But it also refers to what is related to fingers. I am interested in these dualities in meanings, in symbols, in people; and so, I study the way we perceive images and ourselves in them.

My archive comes from books and magazines that I unpack, leaving me with decontextualized pages. The last few months have allowed me to deal very intimately with these photographs accumulated over the years. I have touched them with my fingers and digitally to organize them in different ways, finding connotations I had not detected before. Some images of dance steps turned out to be self-defense keys.

This exhibition is articulated through exercises of association and repetition, in which the images struggle for meaning and prominence, surrender to the subjectivity of the observer, and summarize the fragility of our own perception.

Virtual, touch.
Life, absence.
The body, a body.
Restraint, expression.
Are images a legacy or a burden?

Do images and people complement or repel each other? Do they dance or fight for protagonism?
