Nelo Vinuesa

Graduate in Fine Arts from the Polytechnic University of Valencia (2003). Throughout his career he has been awarded prizes in various painting competitions, including the Valencia College of Managers Award (2008), the Senyera Prize (2015) and the Mª Isabel Comenge Biennial (2017). He has also been awarded grants such as the Casa de Velázquez (2015) and the CAM Plastic Arts Grant to develop "Wild Pulse", his first audiovisual project (London, 2012).

He has exhibited in national galleries such as Valle Ortí (Valencia), Aural gallery (Alicante), Bacelos gallery (Vigo), Rafael Ortiz (Seville) or T20 (Murcia) and has participated in art fairs such as ARCO (Madrid), YIA (Paris), VOLTA (Basel) or SP-Arte (Sao Paulo), among others. He has also had international exhibitions in galleries such as Ybakatu (Curitiba, Brazil) and the recent exhibition "Cavern Fire" at the Launch F18 gallery (New York, USA). At the same time, his notable interest in exploring new disciplines has led him to collaborate with other artists and in 2011 he formed the groups "Bimotor" with Samuel Ortí and the duo "Zoo & Lander" with the painter Nico Munuera. Together they have held exhibitions such as "Motor" at the Cerezales Foundation (León, 2013) or "DIX.DIX" at the Villa Bernascioni (Geneva, 2011).

His work forms part of various national and international collections, he has made site-specific interventions in museums such as the IVAM (Valencia), participated in audiovisual cycles in cities such as Mallorca, Berlin and Valencia and has held exhibitions in European art spaces and foundations such as the Musée Dobrée (France), Meinblau Projektraum (Germany), the Fundaçao Eugenio Almeida (Portugal), the MAG Foundation (Alicante), the Cervantes Institute (Prague and Bucharest) and the Antonio Granell Foundation (Galicia).
