Nuria Mora

Nuria Mora is a multidisciplinary artist who began her artistic career in the late 1990s, focusing exclusively on mural painting and ephemeral street interventions. Working with a wide range of media—including paint, light, and sound—she has transcended the notion of clandestine intervention, elevating it to a more universal and expansive artistic language. She studied Interior Architecture at the Polytechnic University of Madrid (ETSAM) and Fine Arts at the Complutense University of Madrid. In parallel, she began creating numerous site-specific interventions in cities around the world and embarked on a simultaneous trajectory through galleries and art fairs, with her first fair being ARCO 2005. Rooted in geometric abstraction, her work has explored public space and urban furniture in a constructive, non-invasive way, gradually developing a visual language that speaks to memory, the construction of personal recollections, and intimate cartographies. Her work has been exhibited in galleries and international museums in cities such as São Paulo, Sweden, the Netherlands, Germany, New York, Beijing, and Mexico City. Notable institutions include Tate Modern in London, the Joan Miró Foundation in Barcelona, Le Pilori in Niort, France, the Pilar and Joan Miró Foundation in Mallorca, and the Museum of Contemporary Art in Johannesburg. She is also a member of the collective “Equipo Plástico” alongside SixeArt, Eltono, and Nano4814.
